Should I Buy My Toddler Expensive Clothes?
Because it doesn’t seem like it is worth it.
I mean I get why some people would want to.
After all, usually the more expensive clothes are a lot cuter.
And who doesn’t love to see a kid in cute clothing.
But most kids outgrow clothes so quickly, that they may only get to wear that piece of clothing once before it is too little.
So you are stuck with a piece of clothing that you spent a lot of money on just for your kid to wear it once.
Now, I know there are times that call for you to spend money on something that may only get worn or twice if that.
Such as a wedding.
Or a banquet.
Which makes sense.
These are the exception because these are usually events where you have to look a certain way.
And I doubt that you would dress your child in a fancy gown or suit just for the heck of it.
So you will likely have to spend that extra money on the clothes that your little ones are wearing to something like that.
But I’m not talking about those kinds of event.
I’m talking about your everyday and just out and about kind of clothes
Should we buy expensive clothes for that?
I would think not.
Especially if you have a toddler who likes to get dirty.
Or one that hasn’t been potty trained.
I could only imagine spending a lot of money on clothes just for them to wind up getting dirty or peed on.
But that is the reality of having a toddler.
They could care less about what they are wearing because they are just looking for the next good time.
Whether it is in a pile of dirt or a puddle that they can jump in.
Now I’m not bashing anyone who buys their kid name brands and expensive clothes.
Or telling anyone that they should not buy nicer, expensive clothes for their children.
Because I give in every once in a while and buy my children something nicer to wear.
I just do it very sparingly and during times when it is called for.
And I definitely won’t buy them nice clothes to play in and know that they are going to get dirty in.
I will stick to the cheaper affordable clothes for that.
So now the question is where can you get affordable kids clothes that don’t break the bank?
Because as a mom of 2 with kids in the toddler and baby sizes, you can easily rack up on clothes.
Well, I wrote a blog post all about this topic.
At the time this post was written, I was just a mom to a toddler.
But this post still very much works for babies as well so be sure to check out where I shop for growing kids’ clothes through the link below.
These are my go-to’s when it comes to getting cheaper clothes for my both of my kids.
I will catch you all next time!
